Informations
Hailing from Orange County, Social Distortion is back with its first album in 15 years, Born to Kill. Armed with 11 urgent songs, Mike Ness continues to build on the idea that Social Distortion is more than just a punk band. Throughout the collection, Ness revisits the sounds of the 1970s, the decade in which he was an adolescent. Born to Kill is a continuation of the high standard that Social Distortion, and Ness in particular, has long been praised for. This body of work will live long in the Social Distortion catalogue. Songs such as the hard-charging title track, which serves as the album’s mission statement, as well as the riff-laden ‘Partners in Crime’, the nostalgic ‘The Way Things Were’, and the rollicking ‘Tonight’, could fit into any of Social Distortion’s various eras. Now, nearly five decades into their career, with a remarkable catalogue spanning three generations, Social Distortion shows no signs of slowing down.
