Minutemen – Double Nickels On The Dime – VINYL LP

Double Nickels on the Dime is the band’s third album. The Minutemen emerged during the height of the hardcore scene, with the same fervor and frustration that characterized their generation. But musically, there wasn’t much hardcore about them. Punks at heart, certainly. But their groove and funky sounds came from elsewhere; they didn’t have the same sonic radicalism as their contemporaries. The Minutemen had a completely unique sound, with their clean guitar tone, funky/jazzy melodies, incredible bass lines, and short, heroic solos.
